Sidney's Visit ...arrived Tuesday, August 9th

Tuesday-We picked Sidney up at our lovely, convenient Redmond Airport.  A little delayed but she arrived safe.

Meagan is here in between contracts so the timing was wonderful.  She starts at OHSU in Portland soon.  Congrats Meaggie!

Devin was able to get us some tickets to our High Desert Museum for the next day.  The otters were being shy and would not come out of their den  :(   While I needed to go  back to Bend for a hair appointment, they stayed for the Birds of  Prey show.  On the way home, we took a ride up to Pilot Butte.

Thursday eve-Devin was able to get us tickets to the Michael Frante concert at the Schwabb Amphetheater.  It was a fun concert!  Both Sidney and I touched his arm as he ran through where we were sitting!

Friday was kind of a down/prep day for our BBQ  but Denny and Sydney went on the ski lift ride to Mt Bachelor.   On the way back, they stopped at Elk Lake.   Saturday, everyone that said they were coming arrived.   The only missing party poopers  were Mike, Jr and Izzy.  Warm day but it started to cool down a bit towards the end.  It was good to see EVERYONE that came.... We need to do this more often!!!

Sunday-Devin, Meagan, Sidney, Denny and I went to Hosmer Lake and kayaked around for the day.  Brought some hot dogs, chips and pop for afterwards.  My arms DO NOT hurt.  Yea me!!!

Monday, August 15th-Prep day for leaving tomorrow morning for Sunriver, Thousand Trails.  Spending Tuesday and Wednesday kayaking and hanging out by the pool.  Heading for home on Thursday.

Pictures of our camping trip coming later........

Woodstove taken out and was sandblasted.  Dennis will be repainting. We have a wood mantel that will be going up replacing the saw.

Rock hearth and entry ..satin finish applied

Dennis finally got my clothesline pole back up

Destruction by Jack

When I give Jack the lecture, he just looks at me with questions in his eyes.

Another birdhouse creation.  Looks like a soldiers hat.  It's actually a lid off an old  pot.

I really like this one...
