May, June, July and August..........................

Here we are and it is August 22nd.  The previous months have been a blur.  A short recap:

We started our Drost project in latter April.  Got our window and with  Brooks doing 98% of the work, the roof was off and done.  Next up was the yard..sprinkler system and turf.  Alot of prep, ditching, digging and laying sprinkler pvc  pipe.  Denny built a nice fence in the backyard to separate where Argus is and Devin's garden area.  It turned out wonderful.  McPheaters Turf was out four weeks so there was a good size delay there.   But....once it went down, and it went down fast, it looked fabulous!  Devin helped with some brickwork in the front yard and she ended up planting lavender in the bed.  Backyard got some lavender and tall phlox.  Very sweet.

Shortly afterwards, it was exterior paint.  Shark Fin grey for the body and mystic white for the trim.  This home was shining  :)                    I found an exterior door months prior to all of this in addition to a screen door.  The door is a raised panel and the screen door has a white frame.  Dennis painted the door this lovely teal and added a knocker.  It looks gorgeous.  These two things are still waiting to be hung.

We have been working hard and needed a break before exterior paint.  We had done a day trip in April over to John Day and went again twice somewhere in all of this.  All good trips and it is always nice to just go and do pretty much nothing.

We decided to excavate a 100' x 100' pad up on top and get a road finished up to it also.  L and L Excavation is doing it.  They would get started and have to pull off due to fires.  Today, Denny went over to meet with John and get the road right.  Dad is with him and they are going to look at upgrading the current 100 amp system to a 400.  We want to bring the power up to the pad.  These things have always been the plan.

In  between the above, Denny painted the pump house and mowed where we have the RV now.  I weed wacked along the road.  It always looks tidy afterwards and is a good idea anyway; especially by the road.

So this brings everything up to date.

Leaving next Wednesday for Eugene to get the axels straight and then we are off to Florence until the 2nd of September.  After we get home, we are off to John Day again.  Brad and Ruth are joining us :)

Stay tuned for pictures if I get the energy!
