July 24th thru August 10th Yellowstone Trip

Prior to Yellowstone, I made a short trip to visit Meagan and Ryan.  Went on a hike that was quite a bit and I failed quite a bit going up.  Could not get my air.  Aside from being out of shape, the elevation was at 10,200 and I was feeling it.  Good thing was I made it.  I was so proud of myself.  Thought they were going to have to leave me.  On the way down, another lady was sitting on the trail and having a worst time than I.  I gave her encouragement.  I wonder if she made it.

We bought tickets to see The Mavericks and Dwight Yoakum.  Exciting.  Spendy....$200 was crap fees but we have reserved seating pretty close to the stage.

Our trip went great.  Deb is not a traveler and was kind of getting on our nerves; including John's.  She just does not do well and I don't think it motion sickness.  Once we got Cody, she had to chill out and unwind for two days.  Made it to the park twice.  No moose.  Bison, cow elk, one bear.  And the scenery.  You can't beat that.  Lot's of people.  We were in the park early... like 8:00....Come latter morning, here come the people.  Wonderful time but Denny and I have no desire to go back.

We  visited two (2) zoo's; which were both very good.  Yellowstone Bear Sanctuary.  Brown, black and grizzly bears AND babies.  Two bull elk and some bison.  Very nice.  The other had a lion, camels and some other wildlife.

August and September ..... catch up

On our way back from our Yellowstone trip, we picked up our new lab puppy, Cooper.  He is smart and learning every day.  General puppy issues but I think they are getting better.

After our Yellowstone trip, we got caught up and we were off again to Seaside.  Denny, John, Brad and Ivan went fishing two days.  They each got a keeper.  Delicious is all that I can say.  ALL OF THEM were wiped when they got back each day!  Deb arrived sick with the crud and I got it too.  We both spent our beach trip in the RV.  Great fun and very disappointing.  Once we got home, Dennis got it.   Oh Joy.

I was a rat and bailed on the Klamath Falls Horse Show September 6 - 8.  I still was not feeling up to par and not riding because of it.  Cindi was so disappointed.  I was disappointed in myself.  New goals.

We made another beach trip....this time to Newport.....Whalers Rest; one of our favorites.  Gorgeous weather and a good, good week.  Make up for me not feeling good in Seaside.  We managed to get reservations and had to move one night.  That never has happened considering we have been members for nearly ten years.

Rod and Debe arrived on the 22nd of September and departed on Thursday.  Visited the Alpaca Farm and the High Desert Museum.  After their trip here, they were off to visit Tyler for a week.
