Sunday, May 17th Iowa

We got an early start this am and managed to drive nearly the entire width of Iowa.  What a pretty state.  Very green and lush (they have had alot of rain)  and farms that go on forever.  It looks like corn is very big here.  We are camped at Interstate RV; which is just off I80 and in Davenport.  Denny thinks we covered 400 miles.  We should be in Illinois tomorrow and Indiana on Tuesday.  Lilly is having the time of her life!
Left this morning from Camp A Way...birds started a nest on our ladder!

This tractor was at a rest stop and heading our direction

Saturday, May 16th Lincoln, NE

We are camped at Camp A Way just out of Lincoln, NE.  Stayed last night and also going to spend tonight.

There was a Saturday Market that we went to this am; downtown "old" Lincoln.  Brick buildings, cobblestone streets.  That is what I remember when my family was here.  I think I was 8 years old.

We will be getting an early start tomorrow and probably making a big dent into Iowa.  Looking at arriving no later than next Wednesday in Lafayette.  Indy 500 is next Sunday!

Thursday, May 14th..

We are staying in Kearney, NE  RV Park.  Made really good time going across Nebraska.  It is flat and I80 is pretty boring but the farms go on for miles.  Lot's of cattle farms, miles of fields getting ready for something and wind mills everywhere.  We saw many antelope in Wyoming and while coming into Nebraska, some wild turkeys and hundreds of free range cattle-miles.

We have about 755 more miles to reach Lafayette; we are over the half way point.  I think we will stay here a few nights and hit it again on Saturday.  Iowa is the next state, down into Illinois and up again to Indiana.  Everything is going well.  Still have the 12 volt problem but it may be fixed by tomorrow.  Found an RV repair shop just down from where we are staying.  Luvs to ALL-
Her eyes are shut.

Wednesday/May 13th

We are staying in Cheyenne, WY at Terry Bison's RV Park.  Not exactly what we were expecting but we will stay the night here and take off in the morning.  We will make it well into Nebraska; which we would like to spend two nights in a row.  We had rain from Rawlins to Cheyenne where they had a big rain storm that took out alot of their services out like phone. Just one picture today.
