Mother's Day May 14, 2017

Mother's Day was here this year and Dennis did his ribs.  Everyone brought a side dish and/or desert.  We were not able to eat outside this year but we had plenty of room for everyone to sit down inside.  The weather actually was nicer than expected.  They were calling for a 50% chance of rain and it did not happen.

Rod and Debe were here and our Jack and their Max were able to play HARD.

We had 27 peeps this year; including little peeps. Lloyd and Jan were able to come out to make visiting easier for the Wood kids.  It was good to see them and glad they were able to join us.

All of us being together is always the best.

98% Finished......May 11th-

Denny finished all the trim except the closets; which he will get to in the next week or so.  We got a new storm door and it is so nice.  He installed it and also finished trimming out the front door.

The irrigation is on and going; both our house and in the fields.  We were over three weeks behind the eight ball.  My yard is getting in shape with color and if you ignore the pee spots courtesy of Lilly and Jack.

Just need the stereo system hooked up.   I could do it myself but Dennis needs to sauder the wire ends.

Rod and Debe are on their way.  Debe, Meaggie, Deb and I have 10:00 pedi appointments tomorrow morning and pizza is tomorrow eve at mom and dad's.  Mother's Day Sunday is here.  Denny is doing ribs and we will not go hungry with all the other side dishes.

Almost there.... May 1st-

Everything is nearly back to normal.  Denny finished the dresser and my dining room table.  They look like brand new.

We are late with getting the water turned on for house irrigation and my fields.  With a little help from Meagan, I mucked out my front yard pond and got it up and running.  Pee  U!!!  That job is always an ugly.  I cleaned out the irrigation pond as best I could without slipping and breaking my neck.  Irrigation pipe will be down by the weekend.  I have broken down and bought some flowers.  We have had some lovely weather and I think (I hope) we are in the clear.  Cannot tell you how much I miss the pond going and flowers.  They are both a spring welcome.  What do we have left?  Trim in dining, living and downstairs closet.  Trim on stair landing and all bedroom closets.
