May Sixth…..Saturday….

We will be having Mother’s Day Brunch here next Sunday.  Hoping that all can make it and that the weather is lovely.

I have been missing and thinking about both mom and dad continuously.  I know Deb has too.  We both have struggled in our own way; which we are alike in that respect.  It still does not seem real.  It has been over nine months that dad was taken from us and over four months for mom.  Time does not stop.  Everything goes on; which I find very ironic; don’t ask me why.  The hurt is still there and so is the emptiness.  I ask myself if it will go away and not feel so strong.  Am I wanting it to go away?  I don’t think it will.  I just want to replace it with all good things…no sadness; only happiness.  I want to talk about them without crying and being saddened.  I am still working on it.

May First…….Happy May Day

I cannot believe today is May Day.  April has blown by but we have quite a bit to show for it.

Four trees came out and Mack got the stumps out.  First section of picket fence got up and we got 20 yards of 3/4 minus gravel down. Another section of fence just got finished.  Dennis is on fire.

Our sprinkler system is up and running in addition to  Quartz and Drost.  Just needed some adjustments.  I was so worried we would have major problems since we were left with our pants down last year.

Lawns and fields have been fertilized and I can already tell a difference in our lawn.  South field irrigation is up and running and north field will be going tomorrow.

We bought a line of pods and they will be delivered tomorrow.  I really like them.  This guy used a rubber tire instead of a plastic pod and is a much better choice in my opinion.  The design is the same.

There was a big fat rock chuck that was hanging out in the rock pile.   I think Dennis got him.

A few things finally done! April ….

Book shelf…I like it

Stump needs to come out

Mack was able to get over with his machine and get the stumps out.  It has been so cold and seems spring is having a time to punch through our winter.  The good thing is that we have a good snow pack; which means our lakes and reservoirs will fill up and our forests won’t be dry.
