Spring Project under way....started Monday, March 6th-

Monday, we started our second and FINAL makeover.  All furniture, pictures, etc was taken out of living room and dining.  Carpet and pad was taken up and all tack strips and staples were removed.

Today is Thursday and Denny finished staining the beams.  After 36 years, they now look like brand new again.    Tomorrow, he will start on the cedar and re-lacquer all of that.  I will be starting on the painting.

Everything has gone pretty well.  We rented scaffolds and they are two stories high.  Our vaulted ceilings have not been pleasant, I have to be honest.  It took Dennis over a half day to finish them and now they are gorgeous.

Once all of the painting is done, we will be ready for the hardwood floor to go down the first week in April.  Then new carpet in all the bedrooms..

Looking forward to this to be done.......we are both sore.😆

Jeannette's hutch won't be in the dining room when we are done.  Surprise!

Hutch will go here but over towards the switches.

My computer room looks like an antique store.

Hutch will go here next to my bookcase; which I am going to distress in sage green.

Habitat was able to take both the carpet and pad.

This was the dirt swept up in the traffic area.  Almost 15 years worth.  Not too bad considering the first time around.

Empty.

Trim moulding off, tack boards removed and staples gone.  Ready for hardwood.

The difference between 36 years and new stain

This was hard work.  Denny did a super job

Mountain scene that Denny started on my potting shed.  It will hide the dings he put in it.
Crocus-

More crocus-survivors

Tulips-more survivors

Garage is comfortably full.
I don't think OSHA would approve

New Idea-

Denny is going to build this to go above his deer heads.  He already has started the scene on the south side of my potting shed.  (He did not even ask me-good thing I liked it)

It will pretty good size and will look real attractive in that area that has been bare.

Spokane Visit -February 23-27th

We left early Thursday morn and spent four days with Shane, Tirza and the family.  Mira was in a play at the Bing Crosby Theatre on Saturday; which was fun to watch.  The Davenport Hotel was next door and that is something to visit if you are ever downtown. Sunday after church, we went out to dinner at Tomato Street to celebrate Shane and Weston's March birthday's.

With over a foot of snow still on the ground and still snowing off and on, they are still in winter.

It was so good to see them ALL and we will see you again in June-

February 13th-Monday

Beginning this last weekend, we have had lovely, sunny days.  Snow is still melting and part of my yard and fields are appearing.  Arena has made itself present too but it's mushy.  I got a wild hair and did some raking and clean up on the south side and it looks 500% better.  Spring is coming.😃
So much better.

February ...the month of LOVE is here...

February is here and so glad we are on the up swing-so I thought.  We were in a melt off mode and I was able to see my lawn and driveway and get all of the dog poop picked up.

Then.....this morning (February 7th-) we woke up to it snowing pretty hard and now we have about five inches of new powder.  I felt like we took three steps backward.

The rest of the week is calling for light snow and possible rain with a warm up and sunshine towards the weekend.

We will see..
During the melt off mode...

Dennis took this picture and the next day, it all fell off

This morning

Snowing pretty good here
