Today is Thursday and Denny finished staining the beams. After 36 years, they now look like brand new again. Tomorrow, he will start on the cedar and re-lacquer all of that. I will be starting on the painting.
Everything has gone pretty well. We rented scaffolds and they are two stories high. Our vaulted ceilings have not been pleasant, I have to be honest. It took Dennis over a half day to finish them and now they are gorgeous.
Once all of the painting is done, we will be ready for the hardwood floor to go down the first week in April. Then new carpet in all the bedrooms..
Looking forward to this to be done.......we are both sore.😆
Jeannette's hutch won't be in the dining room when we are done. Surprise! |
Hutch will go here but over towards the switches. |
My computer room looks like an antique store. |
Hutch will go here next to my bookcase; which I am going to distress in sage green. |
Habitat was able to take both the carpet and pad. |
This was the dirt swept up in the traffic area. Almost 15 years worth. Not too bad considering the first time around. |
Empty. |
Trim moulding off, tack boards removed and staples gone. Ready for hardwood. |

This was hard work. Denny did a super job |
Mountain scene that Denny started on my potting shed. It will hide the dings he put in it. |
