Year 2025

So behind on my posting's.  Here is a catch up for last year.

In a nutshell, we traveled to Zion.  Utah is beautiful.  They are known for their mountains and lovely scenery.  Great trip and Cooper is quite the traveler.  A few pictures attached.

We made a few trips to the coast; both times weather was good.  I think one day in rained a bit the first trip ; which was the first part of June.  Last trip to the beach was the first of October.

First part of 2025, we scheduled to have our septic/drainfield installed.  Kim did a great job.  We had been shopping for the right manufactured home to have placed on our property.  We found it and after waiting a bit more, it ended up being a floor/lot model.  Supposidly, we got a good price from what they were asking at the beginning of the year.  The floor plan is lovely and it was ready to move once our contractors prepped where it was going.  Our contractors made haste!  We had it pit set and also a concrete pad rather than runners.  One half got delivered on a Saturday and the other on a Sunday.  Was not long before both half’s were married together.   It was still hard to believe that our home once sat on the lot North of Redmond and now it was in place on our property

Once we got the keys, we started bringing our stuff over and after about four horse trailer loads, it has finally came together.  Extremely happy with the floorplan and how well it is insulated.  Craftmanship, workmanship and product quality is a different topic.  Dennis is fixing the errors and making them right.   It is very comfortable…..

Many trips over; which we never get tired of and we both have always loved the area.  Still hard to believe our goal came true.

July 24th thru August 10th Yellowstone Trip

Prior to Yellowstone, I made a short trip to visit Meagan and Ryan.  Went on a hike that was quite a bit and I failed quite a bit going up.  Could not get my air.  Aside from being out of shape, the elevation was at 10,200 and I was feeling it.  Good thing was I made it.  I was so proud of myself.  Thought they were going to have to leave me.  On the way down, another lady was sitting on the trail and having a worst time than I.  I gave her encouragement.  I wonder if she made it.

We bought tickets to see The Mavericks and Dwight Yoakum.  Exciting.  Spendy....$200 was crap fees but we have reserved seating pretty close to the stage.

Our trip went great.  Deb is not a traveler and was kind of getting on our nerves; including John's.  She just does not do well and I don't think it motion sickness.  Once we got Cody, she had to chill out and unwind for two days.  Made it to the park twice.  No moose.  Bison, cow elk, one bear.  And the scenery.  You can't beat that.  Lot's of people.  We were in the park early... like 8:00....Come latter morning, here come the people.  Wonderful time but Denny and I have no desire to go back.

We  visited two (2) zoo's; which were both very good.  Yellowstone Bear Sanctuary.  Brown, black and grizzly bears AND babies.  Two bull elk and some bison.  Very nice.  The other had a lion, camels and some other wildlife.

August and September ..... catch up

On our way back from our Yellowstone trip, we picked up our new lab puppy, Cooper.  He is smart and learning every day.  General puppy issues but I think they are getting better.

After our Yellowstone trip, we got caught up and we were off again to Seaside.  Denny, John, Brad and Ivan went fishing two days.  They each got a keeper.  Delicious is all that I can say.  ALL OF THEM were wiped when they got back each day!  Deb arrived sick with the crud and I got it too.  We both spent our beach trip in the RV.  Great fun and very disappointing.  Once we got home, Dennis got it.   Oh Joy.

I was a rat and bailed on the Klamath Falls Horse Show September 6 - 8.  I still was not feeling up to par and not riding because of it.  Cindi was so disappointed.  I was disappointed in myself.  New goals.

We made another beach trip....this time to Newport.....Whalers Rest; one of our favorites.  Gorgeous weather and a good, good week.  Make up for me not feeling good in Seaside.  We managed to get reservations and had to move one night.  That never has happened considering we have been members for nearly ten years.

Rod and Debe arrived on the 22nd of September and departed on Thursday.  Visited the Alpaca Farm and the High Desert Museum.  After their trip here, they were off to visit Tyler for a week.

Updates…..

Here we are July 20th.   Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, July 4th have come and gone.  We will be leaving the 24th for Yellowstone.  A three day trek.  First stop Little Diamond.  Next Butte and then arriving in Cody.  We will be there until the 8th of August.  Hoping to see a lot of wildlife.

It has been hot for what seem after July fourth.  Hitting triple digits.  Been pretty hard on both human and animals.  The fair is coming up.  Sure hope it cools down for it.

Gearing up for the Klamath Falls horse show first part of September.

March 26th......

Just got back from Redmond.  We ordered our shed from Old Hickory.  Same size as our's here at home, single door and the door has a small rectangle window within it.  Burnt red body and Navajo trim.  Should be all ready in three or four weeks.  Delivered and leveled on our property.

Things are alive outside including the weeds; especially by the retaining wall.  Same weeds that always come up.  I swear I can't get rid of them.  Grass is starting to green up and shrubs and trees have buds..  Color is on the way.  I broke down and bought a few pansies and geraniums for the front porch.  I could not help myself.
