New Project and New Garage Door

I decided to chalk paint my first nice coffee table and end tables.  They are drying and once that is done, I will apply wax.  Then.....they will come back into our house after being in Dennis' shop for many years.

I think they turned out lovely.

Check out our new garage door.  The existing was the original; nearly 38 years old.  I CANNOT believe how quite it is and it should be warmer in the garage itself because of the insulation and tight seals.

Love it!

Amazing how much light gets in the garage with the windows

Table appears old but needing to date it with some help

Table and chairs : $30

Found some numbers on the chairs

Not sure how helpful they will be

November 1, 2019

October just left and here we are into November.  We have had a LOVELY Indian summer going into fall.  In my opinion, we are no into winter yet.  Freezing nights but the days are fantastic.  Falling back an hour was not too bad.

Dennis has been finishing some projects.  The newest one is our Hot Water Heater and I am very excited to see what happens with our electric bill.  It is a hybrd and says it should pay for itself in two years.  That means, I should see a significant drop in our power bill.

He almost has finished trimming out all the closets...just the downstairs bedrooms left.  Going through our closets and getting rid of things that others could use.  Made a trip to the dump and hauled away the old tanks and other things that we have no use for.  It is a good feeling to clean out and keep lean.  Believe me.

I have been antsy to do a project but can't come up with one.  The weather has been so nice.

Stay tuned.....

Happy Halloween-October 31, 2019

As always, it is hard to believe this is the last day of October and we will be falling back an hour this weekend.

The leaves are still falling, I have pulled out my annuals and trimmed down by perennials.  A sad time indeed.

We have had some cold nights and days that have not reached higher than 59.  The mountains have fresh snow on them and the air smells so clean!
This was so gorgeous

Replaced the old water heater

With a new one!!!

So sad and empty

October First....

September just passed us by and here we are into October.

Everything living still looks good; which is so unusual especially, my fields.  Thank you Mother Nature and us being home more often and not gone for long, periods of time.

I love this time of year with all the color but it is a readiness for what is coming :(

I am truly going to miss these..

September and October

Have been tardy with not posting.  We all went to Sunriver for dog weekend and then the following weekend to Newport.  Sunday was the rainy day but everyone except us, headed back home.  We stayed until Wednesday.  Out of the five days we were there, we had one really crummy, rainy day.  Pretty good for that time of year at the beach.

Here we are starting October.  Everything still looks good and alive.  My fields still look great; which is so unusual.  We got snowed on one day...something just was passing through.  The mountains have fresh snow on them.  Fall (and some winter) is in the air.
This old farm house is just outside of Dayville...

This repainted door is off Drost.  Love it!
