Christmas Eve and Christmas Day December 24th, 25th and 26th

It had been raining here for the past few days.    As we got closer to Christmas Eve, I really thought we were not going to get any snow and were going to be stuck with a Willamette Valley, rainy Christmas.  Yuck.

But................about 3:00 pm, the temp dropped and the snow came.  It made everything white ..a little slick but we all got home safe.

Chili and corn bread at Devin's after church.  Her house looked adorable.  She painted her bathroom and did some things different.  Her dad made her a farm bench that fits the bathroom perfect.

We got home around 8:00.....chores being done; including water troughs in the snow.  Horses were dry as it kept coming down.  White Christmas was asked for and received!

Christmas morning......turkey stuffed and in the Traeger.  Tables and chairs up and getting everything tidy for dinner at 4:00.

Turkey was perfect and everyone brought their dishes.  Dinner was delicious.  Pictures!!!!

After dinner, Secret Santa reveal and desert if you wanted some.


Another Christmas dinner down in the memory books.  And we had snow on the ground to boot.

Tyler and his four buddies will arrive sometime tomorrow, the 27th.  They will be here until the first, boarding all over Bachelor.

It is official.  First day of Winter begins today and the days will gradually get a little longer.

December 10th-

Still no new snow at our level and we hit 41 degrees today.  They are calling for snow in the next few days.

A little bit of December..................

It has been cold; which is not fun to be out in. 

I have been all decorated since November 28th; which I think is an early record for me.  I love the smells, the lights and the quiet. 

Our new stove has been pumping along; keeping us warm.  We are not going through the wood like we did with our Fisher.  It was a monster but gulped up the wood like no tomorrow.

No new snow here for a few weeks.  Still white from the last time and it is only still here because we have been so cold.  The mountains look gorgeous and the air smells excellent..

Going to start my newsletter in the next few days.  A few more little things on the "to do" list.

Yes-December has arrived and I am already Christmas decorated!!!  I love my artificial tree.  After being in a tote for a year, it smells like a fresh noble fir...thanks to the stinky sticks you can buy.

As we enter into the month of our Lord's birth, let us all think of the true reason for the season.

Let us also think about those that have truly lost so much this year.

Wish true and sincere Peace to All.

Frozen in time

November-

I cannot believe I have been so tardy this month.

Brittany and Will got married November 17th-  A very nice, lovely wedding and she did all the decor. See pictures.

Thanksgiving came and went.  Dinner was at John and Deb's and they had actually, a pretty small crowd.  I think I counted around 15.  We never go hungry.   See pictures.

My 61st Birthday came and went.  Devin got me this lovely wreath made of scrolled scriptures on paper.  Meagan and I had a dinner date and went and saw Bohemium  Rapsody  Excellent movie about Freddie Mercury and Queen.  I will bet the actor that played him gets nominated for an Oscar.

The mountains are getting fresh snow and Bachelor managed to open with one lift.  It has been dry.  I believe they are calling for the snow levels to drop within our reach.

Denny's B-day is coming up the 3rd.  We are planning on going out to dinner.

I am all in Christmas decor!

Cannot believe October is here.  My favorite time of year with the color, lovely temps and crisp air.  I even was watering my lawn for awhile.  So dry!!!

But............I know what is coming  :(
